Overview

Members of the NigeriaPlus online community write, discuss and debate the news and stimulate public discourse.
One major cornerstone of the NigeriaPlus  concept is that instead of a few people controlling what is being published and therefore read (as in traditional media), NigeriaPlus aims to put the majority in charge by giving them a voice.

What is different about NigeriaPlus?

We aim to combine two different yet equally important types of media: internet and print. NigeriaPlus is generally speaking aiming to be a simple tool to make your voice heard, and to reach beyond the “limitations of the web” to different audiences / readers.

For starters, members of the NigeriaPlus get published by sending their articles to the editor by email. Much later they are able to individually upload content by themselves. The articles can be rated, discussed and shared on the web’s social networks.

NigeriaPlus follows no political line other than democracy. We believe in the power of the community, rather than in the power of the individual. We believe that the “news-making” process and its attached viewpoints and opinions should be under the control of many rather than a few. In other words:
We publish most of what you post and recommend, as long as it makes sense and complies with our policies and guidelines.

So as long as you are Nigerian, at home or in diaspora, pick up your pen, write and share with the world. News, Politics, Opinions, Position papers, Poetry, Book Reviews, The Arts, Food and Recipes, Travel, Entertainment, Fashion, Lifestyle, Science & Technology, Business & Finance, Photography, General Information… anything
